like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Is 53:3-4

Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried;

He was despised and forsaken of men

We live in a society where people who think differently, act differently, have a different way of lifestyle, is often despised and forsaken. Initially, they despise, then they oppose, as somebody says, then, when the person who despised and forsaken continues steadfast on his convinced way, everybody follows.

Same thing happened with Jesus also till today.

He was despised and forsaken of men, because the way He taught, the way He interpreted, the courage He had, the authority He exercised, everything startled the previous ones who had authority over religion and tradition.

Even His own men. He chose the twelve, from among ordinary statues of life, trained them for over 3 years, even they could not fully comprehend. Not even the world, till today.

A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. Definitely.

He came that He may save the world, but for whom He came, the very people, despised and forsake Him. Definitely it made him a man of sorrows. And He was acquainted with grief.

What else will make a man sorrowful or grief-full? When you go out of the way to help, out of the way to save, yet despised.

Same thing happened.

And like one from whom men hide their face;

Yes, because He was able to point to them their own mistakes, which they can convincingly hide from the people around. Then that happened, when they brought the woman who was caught in the adultery. He said, “The one who hasn’t sinned, let him take the first stone and throw on this lady.” And they left the place immediately. He would challenge anybody, humbly and simply. No doubt he was despised.

And we did not esteem Him.

Today, we are, the entire world is going through one of the greatest difficulties. Do we or our leaders esteem Him? Go unto Him, request unto Him? Ask unto Him, inquire unto Him, that we may be healed?

Surely, our griefs, He Himself bore; our sorrows He Himself carried.

Just as I explained yesterday, with the help of God’s Spirit, it was a divine exchange. He alone can bear. Our griefs He bore, in return, He gave you healing. Our sorrows, our fears, our worries, anxieties, all that is negative that crushes us, our spirit and body, that He accepted and carried on the cross. And that is how mankind can receive, that is the only way to receive healing.

Yet, we ourselves esteemed Him stricken

People who do not know about Christ, or His way of life might think, “How can this man, who is himself hanging, can save? Looks like he is in need of God’s assistance.” “Looks like he is punished for his sins.” That’s why they made sure to put him in between two criminals.

Smitten of God

Of course, smitten of God, our punishment He bore.

It was not because He did something against God.

Any mankind,

and afflicted;

Yes, His body, soul and spirit was afflicted.

That is why He cried, wept and cried.

Today, if there is any solution, to any of the problems that the mankind is going through right now, the only solution as far as I know is, to look unto Him: Just like when there was a situation when the evil harming the people of Israel, Moses made a bronze serpent, raised it, and said, “Look up to this.” Today, as it was prophesied earlier, anyone who look up to Son of Man, who is smitten and afflicted, He will remove all our sorrows, all our sicknesses, all our griefs. If you believe, kindly follow.

Abba, Thank You for Your Son Jesus. Thank you for sending Him to bear our grieves and carry our sorrows, and releasing us from all kinds of pain, sicknesses, and diseases. Let Your Spirit make us realize that Jesus is the healer, the Only Healer, who can heal us of any and every sicknesses. Let Him lead us, always by His side, cleanse me and my family, and all those who believe this Word, so that we may be enjoying health and protection.

In Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.

He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. Isaiah 53:3-4
