Pleasant words are like a honeycomb

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. Prov 16:24
Words are so important in our lives, they are very powerful in its effect too. Words that are positive, that are good, that are encouraging, that are empathetic, that are kind make the person lifted up. His spirit soars high and he gains hope to achieve more and more. But there are words that are discouraging, criticizing, condemning, pointing out mistakes--those are the words that take even the energy the person has.  That person ends up in discouragement beyond explanation.
That is why it is important that we choose words in our daily life, and be also associated with people who are careful with regard to there words. The author to the Book of Provers clearly says,, "Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones." (Prov 16:24) Honeycomb is where bees store the honey which they have collected from the best of flowers. From childhood up to the old age, honey is essential for the vitality of health; if it is taken in a right amount, it gives us nourishment and it is so sweet to a tongue. The same way, right words are essential for the wellbeing of a person.
Jesus in His life was always using words in a right manner; He Himself was the Word Incarnated. Through Him all the good things that we see and cannot see were created. That is why when He was here on the planet of earth, He was using His words to empower people, to heal people. While others were using words to condemn, He was always using words that heals, forgives, lifts the person up for a new life. This we see when they brought an adulterous woman in the temple; or when He was healing the person who was carried by his friends; or when He went to dine with Zacchaeus.
Wherever He went, He always had a kind word, a pleasant word, a healing word that changed the lives of people for better. This,  the author says, it gives sweetness to the soul.
Human beings are very much affected by what happens in the soul. When our soul feels sweetness, our life, our entire life becomes sweeter. And health to the bones. It happens to anybody when we are going through difficult moments, when we are going through some kind of disease or sickness, when we are going through some discouraging situations, that is when we physically feel very weak. It is in those moments we should look up to God, the Word of God, and to people who can give pleasant words to us, that will enrich us, enable us, to withstand and rise up above the situation towards accomplishing the goal that is awaiting us. We should never let the enemy put a wrong word to defeat us, to double in our ability or blessings that God has in store for us. That is why we should always be associating ourselves with pleasant words that are like a honeycomb.
May we have in the store of our sold many of the peasant words that we may be able to share and strengthen each and everybody, or anyone who is in need, that that person may be feeling health to his bones.
Abba, Thank You for always giving us words that are pleasant, kind, and forgiving. Like Your Son who often gave those kind of words which remain like honey, sweetness to the soul. Let Your Spirit give us enough encouragement that we may be able to share with others using kind words. In Jesus' Most Powerful Name, Amen.
